The whole world is aware that Novak Djokovic is being held as a political prisoner in a refugee centre in Melbourne. A building covered in signs that read “Free Torture Here,” and the like.
The protesters who are always there have told me the media is rarely interested, but now, thanks to the imprisonment of the World’s greatest tennis player, the media is camped outside.
And while they all wait for the famous man to show himself, in one window I noticed another man.
When he saw that I had noticed him he held up nine fingers. One for every year of his incarceration, I suppose.
The first image went a little crazy on Instagram so I decided to bring a long lens and take more, and let the images do the talking for him . . . Come what may.
These are them. I know nothing about him other than this.
