A very philosophical gaze at our existence Michael, Once upon a time, I would have said, "but isn't your god Omniscient, Omnipotent and Omnipresent" ? If that were in fact true, all these issues you mention would not be a problem, for he would KNOW, he could CHANGE, and he would know the FUTURE.
like I said "once upon a time",,maybe these three OOOs are a human projection onto their GODS and in fact he/she/they/them are just like us.?.I am not longer a staunch atheist, more an agnostic slowly waking thanks to people like you.
Greetings from another soul living at the edge of Port Macquarie contemplating over bizarre concepts called timd and free will. Sometimes I find great peace in dismissing both as egoic illusions and surrendering simply to what is. Only to habitually take them as real again and suffer as a consquence. If we want to amuse this imaginary God, lets tell Him about our plans.
That you *know* God is imaginary means that you know more than I do. I hope this is comforting to you, but as for me, I'll remain content with being the least knowledgeable one here.
There is a rising up of a Reformation in my church. The Seventh-day Adventist Church. Our philosophy, or our Godly philosophy has stood on the platform of freedom of conscience. During this plandemic, certain church members realised to their horror, a few of our leaders had nearly, successfully removed this Godly philosophy. A few years ago, and even yet, still now, because the fight is far from over, I was resisting my tyrannical government. But now I have another resistance to join. Many Seventh-day Adventists Christians are uniting to bring our church out of the clutches of the dogmas of papal Rome yet again and a Reformation has begun to restore our philosophy back to Sola Scriptura. Certain church leaders in at the 'top' issued coercive statements to fall into line with the government's mandates but certain members (and its a growing Reformation) are now realising these statements are a result of coming under the umbrella of the United Nations. Another philosophy of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is do not become partners with politics which again certain leaders has forgotten. Why am I saying this? The Seventh-day Adventist Church philosophy will answer most of Michael's questions. Evil is attacking what we all need to hear. True protestantism is Autonomy and Liberty. The link is by one who alerted me to this dilemma.

The concept of God is imaginary. Only the experience of God is real but beyond the mind. That's how I make sense of it.

I've never asked that question, but I'm glad you did. And yes, I know of others to whom God speaks to with their own voice.
Not having all the answers definitely helps to make my life bearable, why not for God also?
