Soft, scared, confused, afraid, apathetic, selfish, anodyne, superficial - these are the attributes of Aussies now. We have fallen for the trappings of consumerism and belonging ... and now it's anything but being uncomfortable both materially and socially. Just today visited a family friend in hospital, a young lady under 30 suddenly struck down by a smorgasbord of ailments including pneumonia of all things.
Doctors are baffled.
Unfortunately for her, she and her close family all cheerfully (as far as I can tell) took the jab (I was excluded from the Christmas get together but that's another story).
I have no proof of causation for her current situation, but I suspect I can guess what it might be.
However, before I get too cocky, I have heard rumours of airborne vaccines so maybe we'll all end up the same: who knows? (Hmm, who cares?)
