My husband has been a merchant seaman for 30 years, very experienced.
Now they need to do courses every two years to keep their ‘ticket’ 😅 a couple of grand $$ for every course.
The Australian Seaman lost jobs as they were replaced by foreign crew. No Australian Seamen were on our ships or supporting oil/ gas rigs etc in Australian waters!!

Are there still restrictions in Hervey Bay? In cafes? Etc
